Flowers

I've added two roses to my front yard. This lovely pink was given to me by a sweet neighbor who had taken cuttings from a beautiful bush belonging to a friend. Then I broke down and purchased a yellow rose this year since I figured it was only right that a native Texan should have a yellow rose. I had a good laugh when the first beautiful blooms were...pink.
My lantana that my mother gave me a few years ago has sent up enough daughter plants that now I'm sharing them with neighbors. I had some extras for our yard and some for a friend who lost a large tree in a storm and now has some sun in her yard! The butterflies love lantana and my yellow and pink bush type variety is perennial in zone 7.
The vegetable garden is growing well, but sorrel is the only thing I've harvested yet. I love it in a green smoothie! A handful of sorrel, some spinach, a banana and some kefir whirled in the blender makes a great breakfast!

We have sorrel too! The kids love it.

For some reason I thought you had stopped blogging forever! Saw you over at Reformed group on Ravelry and realized this is not the case. Glad!
