More spinning

I'm still spinning almost every day. We'll start our new curriculum on Monday so I've spent some time this week getting things (like my wool closet) more organized. Well, I have done a good bit of sorting the school items, making copies, etc. too.
I'm really looking forward to getting back in the swing of things, and the children are, too. A new Math book is making my oldest nervous, but other than that-we are eager to begin! I still have an hour reserved in the afternoon for my projects, so I hope to get some knitting/spinning done, even if it is a little slower going.

Getting ready for school

We're getting ready to start Rome to Reformation(My Father's World) and I've been re-working the school schedule from last year and thinking about what things we can do to make busier school days a little smoother. Firming up our "before bed" routines will help! Those slid during the summer...
I really like the Scripture Memory System laid out here. Now this should definitely help with our review! I think some of the Psalms have fallen through the cracks...
On the fiber front...I've been spindle spinning more than wheel spinning lately! The bubinga Bossie and some combed Corriedale come on my morning walks now and when I have a few minutes here and there, I pick up my tulipwood Swan.
I'm nearly done with the ribbed cable square for the sampler afghan-hope to be done with it later tonight. Then just two more before the sewing up!

Tour results

Here is my pile of yarn from the TdF. The gray is my Targhee blend(now dyed burgundy), and the purple is the Merino blend. I had barely started the Corriedale roving that is on the bobbin(yes, I dyed it purple, too)when the Tour ended. I really overestimated my capabilities when I set goals this year!
The good news is that I'm still spinning nearly every day!
